ULTRA-MINIATURE UNIVERSAL SENSOR DELIVERS POWERFUL PHOTOELECTRIC PERFORMANCE

Minneapolis, MN—APRIL 11, 2005—Banner Engineering has introduced new WORLD-BEAM® Q12 Series ultra-miniature photoelectric sensors. About the same height as a US Quarter and only 8 mm wide, the Q12 is the smallest model in Banner's very popular and successful WORLD-BEAM Series family of sensors. Completely self-contained, the Q12 features a unique overmolded design to achieve an IP67 environmental protection rating and withstand the abuses of today's harsh industrial environments. Available in opposed, retroreflective, polarized retroreflective and fixed-field modes, the sensor is capable of sensing ranges up to 2 m. Installation in confined or otherwise challenging locations is simplified with robust, metal-sleeved side mounting holes consistently located on all models as well as an assortment of available brackets. Pricing starts at a low $70.00.

Verifying the position of materials or equipment in confined areas, directly on or inside conveyors and automated machinery
Mapping semiconductor wafers

Specifications. The ultra-miniature WORLD-BEAM Q12 Series sensors measure just 22 mm long, 8 mm wide and 12 mm deep. All units feature solid-state bipolar outputs, one current sourcing (PNP) and one current sinking (NPN).
