Download the Hi-Res version of this image. | Minneapolis, MN—June 13, 2007—The Banner Engineering Racing Teamcaptured the pole position for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen, heldSaturday, June 9. Coming off a win at Lime Rock, CT last week, the Banner RacingTeam was on a high and running well when Paul Edwards drovethe#07 Banner Engineering Pontiac GXP.R to the team’s first pole positionof the 2007 season.
The Banner Racing Team turned in a solid effort at Watkins Glen despite somesetbacks and avoided several accidentsamong other vehicles on the track, finishing 3rd and 7th overall.
Edwards and co-driver Kelly Collins started in a strong position Saturday but fell behind due to electrical problems mid-race. Despite this setback, Edwards and Collins came back from two laps behind and finished in 3rd place.
Pilgrim, as co-driver with Leighton Reese and Tim Lewis Jr., had a strong raceuntil a technical penalty cost the team a minute of time. The team deliveredsolid driving in the time left and finished in 7th place.
