bannerengineering.com—August 16, 2005—Banner Engineering Corp. today received the Export Achievement Certificate from the United States Commercial Service. The Export Achievement Certificate recognizes small and medium-sized businesses that have successfully entered the international marketplace for the first time or entered a new market. The US Commercial Service is the global business solutions unit of the United States Department of Commerce.

US Senator Norm Coleman (R-Minnesota) presented the award to Bob Fayfield, president and founder of Banner Engineering and Bob Schlicksup, Banner’s vice-president of International Sales, at Banner Engineering’s headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In presenting the award, Senator Coleman said, “It’s good to know Banner is meeting the challenges of this global economy. In government, we create an environment that allows businesses to compete. But in the end, it’s really up to you.”

Fayfield said, “The US Commercial Service has been very
helpful to us as we enter new international markets. The
global market is where most of our growth is, and this
certificate shows the success our International Department
has had and continues to have.” He added, “Banner is very
flattered to be given this award, especially since it’s presented
by Senator Coleman, who is one of the best friends small
business has in Washington.”
